Partial remission is more common for those who were diagnosed early on and have been able to rid their body of most of the cancer. The end result will leave the patient feeling significantly better compared to when they started treatment.
Recurrence
Because a person can not be cured of mesothelioma, doctors who have a favorable outlook for the patient can treat them as if the patient has a chronic illness. This gives the patient frequent checkups with doctors so they can have their symptoms monitored. This also allows for doctors to quickly prepare a course of treatment if symptoms get worse.
