Ross Stomel Partner

Ross Stomel has been a senior partner at Shrader & Association, LLP since 2003. His primary practice areas include mass torts and defective devices. He is the head of the firm’s asbestos department and brings more than twenty years of legal experience to the table, making him a valuable asset, both for the firm and for those that he represents.

His passion and aggressive advocacy for his clients, is reflected in more than two hundred and fifty million dollars in verdicts and settlements that he has secured for his clients throughout the years. His quality of results has also landed him membership in the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, a forum only open to those who have received million-dollar settlements to their cases. He is exceedingly skilled with high-stakes cases and complex mass tort cases. When there is a difficult fight ahead, there is nobody better suited to have in your corner than Ross.

Ross has been awarded a number of legal honors. He has been selected by his peers for inclusion in Texas Super Lawyers Rising Stars list in 2012, 2014, and from 2016 to 2017 and was also selected for inclusion in Texas Super Lawyers list by Thomson Reuters from 2020 to 2023. The National Trial Lawyers Association named Ross among their Top 40 Trial Lawyers Under 40 and among their Top 100 Trial lawyers.

Ross is licensed to practice in Texas, Illinois, and Missouri, as well as in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas and the Eastern District of Texas. He attended The University of Texas at Austin, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2000. He then continued on to South Texas College of Law, where he received his law degree in 2003. He finds it important to give back to the legal community and does so by serving as an Executive Committee Member for the National Trial Lawyers Association and as a member of the Board of Directors for the Houston Trial Lawyers Association. He is also a member of the American Association for Justice, among other organizations.
